President Trump is considering choosing his daughter, Ivanka Trump, to head the World Bank.

Following the resignation of Jim Yong Kim as President of the World Bank, the Trump Administration must submit a recommendation for the organization’s new leader.

According to Business Insider, the administration may stray from the tradition of choosing a candidate with a background in international trade economics and is instead considering Ivanka Trump as its recommendation.

Although other candidates for the position have been named, such as Mark Green of the US Agency for International Development and UN ambassador Nikki Haley, the consideration of Ivanka does not come as a surprise, as she was also considered for the UN ambassador role.
