Report: Banks Have Cut Off Jim Bakker From Receiving Credit Card Payments
End Times pastor Jim Bakker and his ministry have been blocked from using credit card transactions after promoting a fake miracle cure for the Coronavirus, reports Right Wing Watch. This came after the publication reported the show in February for soliciting its silver solution as a way to cure people infecting with COVID-19.
[Bakker] was warned by the New York Attorney General’s office to stop “making misleading claims” about the product and also was ordered by the Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission to “immediately cease making all such claims” about the effectiveness of the silver solution. On top of that, Bakker was also sued by the office of Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt “for misrepresentations about the effectiveness of ‘Silver Solution’ as a treatment for 2019 novel coronavirus.
All of Bakker's legal problems have prompted credit card companies to cancel all his transactions, leaving the pastor to beg his watchers for checks instead. Even though the footage is readily available, Bakker asserts that people saying he peddled the silver solution as a cure were ‘lying’. He even goes so far as to say that people ‘rewrote parts of the show’.
“We were doing so well,” Bakker lamented. “For the last few weeks, [the processing companies] have been taking the money and putting it in their own accounts. We have not received money. They think because somebody told a lie about us, so now they’re saying, ‘Well, the people might want their money back, so we’ve got to keep all your money.’ Please stand with us. If people come against us, then it’s going to be impossible for us to stay on the air.”
Bakker has been called out for his disinformation and is now trying to backpedal. He is being held accountable for trying to capitalize on a worldwide pandemic. He is reaping what he has sown, as the Bible states.
