President Donald Trump must have known that Washington, D.C., is not filled with his biggest fans — after all, he received a paltry 4 percent of the vote there in 2016.
But just to be safe, those in attendance at Game 5 of the World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros offered the president unmistakable disapproval over the weekend.
When Trump was announced over the loudspeaker, the crowd returned “sustained booing that reached, per the local paper, ‘almost 100 decibels,’” Vanity Fair reported — which the magazine noted is “the type of disapproval typically reserved for undocumented immigrants and freshman congresswomen at his rallies.”
Later in the game, chants of “Lock him up” could be heard throughout the stadium.
