Report: An Actual Nazi Is Running For Congress (Again) As A Republican

Arthur Jones is not shy about his denial of the Holocaust or white supremacist views.

Arthur Jones, a Holocaust denier and white supremacist, is throwing his hat in the congressional ring again in Illinois, running as a Republican in the district currently home to Democratic Rep. Dan Lipinsky.

As noted by Friendly Atheist, Jones ran for the same seat in 2018, garnering a whopping 26 percent of the vote but losing to Lipinksi. This year, both candidates face primary challengers, so it remains to be seen who will appear on the tickets in 2020.

Jones has made no secret of his fringe views on race, the Holocaust, the LGBTQ community, immigration and more. His website is filled with exactly the type of vitriol one would expect from a white supremacist.

It is telling, then, that such a candidate would run on the Republican ticket. Despite his fringe views, Jones’ main points seem to align well with the GOP platform: “The Homosexual/Lesbian/Bi-sexual/Transgender movement is a blatant assault on the Christian based foundation of this country. They seek to uproot, and overthrow all the moral teachings of the Christian religion on which all of our laws are based. THEY MUST BE STOPPED NOW.”

I’d argue that Nazis need to be stopped now, once and for all. Our soldiers didn’t die fighting against them in WWII so they could rise up in America 65 years later and become Republicans. They need to be eradicated from the face of the earth.
