President Trump does not feel his rhetoric is at all to blame for the attempted bombing of prominent Democrats.

President Donald Trump is not inclined to take whatever responsibility might be his regarding the recent series of pipe bombs sent to various prominent Democrats, saying on Friday “there’s no blame” when it comes to his divisive rhetoric — even implying he could "tone it up".

Will he ramp down his often-harsh rhetoric about his political foes?

“I think I’ve been toned down. I could really tone it up,” Trump said. “The media has been very unfair. … But with all that said, we’re winning.”

Trump acknowledged that Cesar Sayoc, who was arrested in connection with the attempted bombings and faces up to 58 years in prison, preferred him over “other people” but came short of calling him a supporter.
