White supremacists allegedly instigated riots while posing as members of Black Lives Matter in downtown Richmond, Virginia over the weekend, according to WSLS-TV.
- The rioters tore down police tape and marched towards the police headquarters, which is where they set a dump truck on fire.
- Six people were arrested after the police called the event “unlawful assembly” and deployed tear gas.
- Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney said:
“Their mission is simple, not the Richmond we know.”
- Stoney also “thanked the Black Lives Matter protesters he said tried to stop the white supremacists from spearheading the violence,” according to the report.
