Robert F. Hyde was photographed with President Donald Trump several times, according to his own social media accounts, along with others in Trump’s orbit.
Hyde is accused of involvement in the surveillance of US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch while she was in Ukraine. In text messages with Lev Parnas, Hyde appeared to suggest that physical harm could come to Yovanovitch for the right price.
Trump offered a similarly cryptic statement about the ambassador to Ukraine’s president during his infamous July phone call, saying, “she's going to go through some things.”
