Lev Parnas says former National Security Adviser John Bolton was "100%" aware of Trump's pressure campaign in Ukraine.

Lev Parnas, an associate of President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Wednesday that former National Security Adviser John Bolton knew “100 percent” what was happening with Ukraine.

Parnas claimed earlier in the interview that Vice President Mike Pence was tasked with delivering Trump’s ultimatum to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky: Announce an investigation into the Bidens, or there will be no more U.S. military aid.

Asked by Maddow if Bolton knew that Pence had been given this job, Parnas replied: “I don’t know exactly what Mr. Bolton knew, but I know Mr. Bolton was definitely involved in the loop.”

He went on to say that Bolton and Giuliani were clearly communicating about such matters, because they began “butting heads” over policy disagreements related to both Ukraine and Venezuela.

“You believe he knows what the administration was pressuring Ukraine to do?” Maddow asked.

"Bolton? 100 percent. He knows what happened there,” Parnas replied.
