President Donald Trump took to Twitter Wednesday morning criticizing his attorney general again, this time harping on Jeff Sessions' failure to investigate the Obama administration and Clinton campaign for allegedly colluding with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
"Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during the Obama Administration, right up to January 20th, why aren’t they the subject of the investigation? Why didn’t Obama do something about the meddling? Why aren’t Dem crimes under investigation? Ask Jeff Session!"
In his tweet, Mr. Trump revived his offensive on Mr. Sessions, whom he once called “beleaguered,” and continued his days-long Twitter comments on the ongoing special counsel’s investigation into Russian meddling. Mr. Trump has been questioning why the Obama administration did not do more to stop Russian interference.
Mr. Trump misspelled his attorney general’s last name in the post.
Trump's tweet comes on the heels of special counsel Robert Mueller's 19th indictment in the Russia probe, announcing Tuesday that the son-in-law of Russian oligarch German Khan, Alex van der Zwaan, was charged with lying to the FBI.
