(NYT) KUSHNER FAILED TO DISCLOSE MORE THAN 100 FOREIGN CONTACTS ON HIS SECURITY CLEARANCE FORM

Jared Kushner, White House strategist and son-in-law of President Donald Trump, failed to disclose 100 foreign contacts on his security clearance form according to a report by the New York Times.

The form, called an SF-86, requires total honesty on the part of the person seeking the clearance. Failure for being totally candid on the form is a U.S. felony and may result in imprisonment.

Democratic lawmakers are calling for Mr. Kushner to lose his security clearance given his apparent lies on the application. On MSNBC, Senator Chris Murphy called for Mr. Kushner to be both fired and have his security clearance revoked.

“If this were a normal political world, Jared Kushner wouldn’t have a job by the end of today,” he continued, “and at the very least, he should absolutely have his security clearance revoked.”
