Filmmaker Eugene Jarecki has installed a clock in New York's Times Square that adds up all the deaths from the coronavirus pandemic that can allegedly be attributed to President Donald Trump's inaction, reports The Independent.
- The clock runs on the assumption that 60% of coronavirus death could have been prevented if shutdowns across the country started on March 9 instead of March 16.
- Dr. Anthony Fauci, the leading US infectious diseases expert and part of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has admitted that lives could have been saved if the Trump administration had acted more quickly.
- Jarecki wrote in The Washington Post that he wants to "let the numbers speak for themselves".
- As of Wednesday, the counter is well past 50,000 deaths, which Jarecki believes Trump is responsible for.
