NBC: AT LEAST THREE GOP SENATORS, ENOUGH TO BLOCK TRUMPCARE, WILL ANNOUNCE THEIR OPPOSITION TO IT

At least three GOP Senators, enough to block the American Health Care Act, will publicly announce their opposition to the bill sometime later today according to NBC News via CNBC.

In the list of possible no votes: Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), and Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). Senators Cruz, Lee, and Paul believe the bill isn’t conservative enough. Senators Murkowski and Collins believe the bill is too draconian.

By and large, Americans loathe the American Health Care Act. By a margin of 3:1, Americans believe the bill is a bad ideaaccording to the Wall Street Journal.

The bill will lead to increased premiums for many and an overall drop in the number of Americans insured. The money saved by the bill’s cuts will be redistributed to the wealthy through tax cuts.

Though the President celebrated the bill’s passage in the House of Representatives, he later called it “mean“.
