MITCH MCCONNELL ON REPEAL OF OBAMACARE: “I DON’T KNOW HOW WE GET TO 50 [VOTES]”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell seems downcast on the likelihood that Republicans in the Senate will be able to repeal Obamacare.

In an interview with Reuters, Senator McConnell said, “I don’t know how we get to 50 [votes] at the moment. But that’s the goal.”

The Republican healthcare bill is wildly unpopular. According to the CBO, The GOP plan will not only cost the U.S. taxpayers more money but it was also mean 23,000,000 Americans lose their health insurance.

Senate Republicans claim that they’ll be holding a vote on an Obamacare replacement bill in late Summer.

Republicans require 50 votes in order to pass the Republican plan. There are currently 52 Republicans in the U.S. Senate.
