Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti has gone on record stating that evidence is forthcoming that will leave President Donald Trump no choice but to resign.
Speaking on both CNN and MSNBC, Avenatti predicted that Trump will not finish his first term.
On Thursday, Avenatti had stated to CNN that he does not think Trump will finish his term.
“They’re going to turn him, and when they turn him, the president is going to be in a very, very bad place,” he told Nicolle Wallace during his appearance on her show. “And I’m going to make a prediction now. I do not think the president will serve out his term.”
Subsequently, in an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid on Saturday, Avenatti elaborated on his position when Reid asked why he believes Trump won’t last:
“Well, because I think the amount of heat and the evidence that is going to come to light in the coming months, Joy, is going to make it absolutely impossible for him to serve out the balance of his term without a doubt and I think resignation is going to be his only option,” Avenatti responded. “That’s my prediction.”
Last week, Avenatti said he believes Trump attorney Michael Cohen will be indicted soon, telling CNN’s Jake Tapper “there is a whole host of potential criminal conduct” Cohen could be charged with, including “bank fraud, wire fraud, campaign finance violations”.
