Sen. Marco Rubio was displeased that Kurdish residents in Syria expressed displeasure with Trump's U.S. troop removal.

After video hit social media showing Kurds throwing tomatoes at U.S. troops as they left a town in northern Syria, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) took it upon himself to lecture the Kurdish people on how they should feel about America.

In a tweet, Rubio said, "I understand the anger of Kurds who face threats & attacks from Turkish forces."

"But U.S. troops don’t deserve insults, they deserve gratitude & praise," he added. "They didn’t make the decision to leave, they were ordered to. And they risked their lives far away from their homes & families."
