Last Night, Trump Went On Rambling Tirade Against Windmills

"If you happen to be watching the Democrat debate and the wind isn't blowing, you're not going to see the debate."

President Donald Trump went on another ridiculous rant about windmills during a speech last night, once again saying they "kill all the birds" and are unreliable.

"If you happen to be watching the Democrat debate and the wind isn't blowing, you're not going to see the debate ... 'the goddamn windmill stopped!'"

"Tilting at windmills" is an English idiom which means "attacking imaginary enemies", originating from Cervantes' novel Don Quixote. Seems appropriate.

Salman Rushdie’ latest book is called Quichotte, a modern retelling.

Good read so far.

In fact one of the biggest killers of birds are high rise buildings who leave their lights on all night. The birds who are going to roost become confused and fly into the buildings breaking their necks. Maintenance people usually spent their early morning hours shovelling up the bodies for disposal. Birds will not knowingly fly into a moving object like a windmill.
