Michigan’s Kid Rock AKA Bob Ritchie claimed in a blog post that he is serious about running for U.S. Senate.

The Republican rebel, real name Bob Ritchie, also responded to comments from incumbent U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, a Lansing area Democrat and pianist. Asked about his possible run Tuesday, Stabenow said they both love music and conceded he’s better at guitar but said she’ll continue doing what she does best, which is “fighting for Michigan.”

Rock agreed they share a love of music – but probably not the same kind, he wrote.

“I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bull—-!” he said.”

Kid Rock and his fellow rocker (and Michigan native) Ted Nugent are both super fans of President Donald Trump.

Mr. Nugent is particularly loathsome due to his public hatred of African-Americans, Jews, and, Immigrants. He has also called for violence against those who he disagrees with politically.

While Kid Rock faces more “establishment” challengers in the Republican primary, it is quite possible that he can ride the anti-establishment wave that has animated so much of recent politics. In many ways Kid Rock is the future of the Republican Party, he is a populist, amateur, know-nothing, who will be incapable of governing once in office or once in office, will be wholly dependent on special interests to guide him.
