Kentucky Has America's First Fatal School Shooting Of 2018

A 15-year-old student opened fire on high school students in Benton, Kentucky.

A 15-year-old student opened fire on high school students at Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky. At least two victims are dead and 19 others are injured. Of those injured, 14 suffered gun shots.

Hundreds of students ran for their lives out of Marshall County High School, jumping into cars and running down a highway, some not stopping until they reached a McDonald's restaurant more than a mile away.

The shooter killed a teen boy and girl.

A girl was killed immediately, and a boy died later at a hospital, the governor said, adding that all of the victims are believed to be students.

The Associated Press reports that everyone who was killed and injured was a student.
