The MSNBC host indicated people in the White House are well aware that President Trump is in cognitive decline.

Thursday morning on MSNBC, Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough appeared to confirm what has largely circulated as rumor, saying that he was told during the campaign that President Donald Trump has dementia and is "completely detached from reality."

"You have somebody inside the White House that the New York Daily News says is mentally unfit," Scarborough said. "That people close to him say is mentally unfit, that people close to him during the campaign told me had early stages of dementia."

"If this is not what the 25th Amendment was drafted for," he added, referring to the amendment that covers presidential succession and the response to a president with disabilities.

Trump attacked Scarborough on Twitter , dredging up a conspiracy dating back to the host's time as a Florida congressman, when one of Scarborough's interns died from a heart condition. The president insinuated Scarborough may have murdered her.

Only those who have never dealt with dementia think he has it. He is under an extreme amount of stress, and acting like it doesn't exist. That, in itself, is enough to cause the symptoms he shows.
