MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said there are no Republican lawmakers who are "personally loyal" to the president.

Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, said on Wednesday that President Donald Trump could be in trouble as impeachment looms, because Republicans on the Hill “loathe” him.

RawStory reported that Scarborough said GOP support for the president could diminish quickly if the impeachment inquiry harms his public support, adding that no lawmakers are “personally loyal” to Trump.

“Republicans on the Hill loathe, loathe — I can’t say it enough — they loathe Donald Trump personally,” the host said. “They blame him for the chaos that’s going on in Washington and stopping them from getting more things done.”

Scarborough said it is too soon to make predictions about the outcome of impeachment, because there are still too many unknowns.

“We don’t know what’s going to happen, do we?” he said. “I mean, maybe evidence comes out, we don’t know what happens when the levee breaks. But that is a possibility, and the fact that nobody on the Hill is actually personally loyal to Donald Trump means we don’t know how any of this ends up.”
