Joe Biden: Military Will Remove Trump From White House If He Refuses To Leave
Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for the presidency, said Wednesday that the military will forcibly remove President Trump if he refuses to vacate the Oval Office after losing the election, according to the Washington Post.
- In an interview on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” Biden spoke of his concern over a fair voting process, saying that the president “is going to try to steal this election.”
- When asked if he had thought about what would happen if Trump refused to give up his position, Biden responded, “Yes, I have.”
- In reference to the many high-ranking former military officers who have spoken out in the past week about Trump’s response to protests triggered by the death of George Floyd, an unarmed African-American man killed by a police officer, Biden said:
“I’m (sic) promise you, I’m absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch.”
- Biden continued on to note Trump’s hypocrisy over voting by mail:
“This is a guy who said that all mail-in ballots are fraudulent, voting by mail. While he sits behind the desk in the Oval Office and writes his mail-in ballot to vote in a primary.”
