Ivanka Trump made similar comments in 2016 at the Republican National Convention.

During an August fundraiser in Wyoming, President Donald Trump’s eldest daughter discussed personality traits she believes she inherited from her parents, according to Politico.

Her mother, Ivanka Trump said, showed her how to be a successful and powerful woman. And her father passed along his moral compass.

The president’s daughter has made similar comments in the past, the news outlet noted, saying at the Republican National Convention in 2016: “My father taught my siblings and me the importance of positive values and a strong ethical compass.”

Ivanka’s appearance at the high-end fundraiser — organized by Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy — was part of the Trump campaign’s efforts to humanize the president.

“As a Trump donor, it is energizing to hear stories about President Trump being personal and engaged on the issues,” said Dan Eberhart, CEO of Canary LLC. “The media consistently and conspicuously omits any stories of the president being human or personally engaging, so these firsthand accounts really help paint a fuller picture of what’s happening inside the White House.”
