Kushner is pushing for prison reform at a time speculation exists that he could be a target in the Russia probe.

According to New York Daily News, the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has added to his already-full plate the issue of prison reform.

Pushing for changes to the U.S. system of incarceration is a worthy cause, but it becomes more interesting that Kushner is behind the endeavor as media reports indicated the White House adviser could very well find himself a target of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

The President’s son-in-law has been meeting with stakeholders, including reformed convicts and religious leaders, about changing how America incarcerates, Axios reports.

President Trump on Thursday will have a listening session about the topic, according to Axios.

Kushner, who turns 37 on Wednesday, and his Office of American Innovation have been quietly discussing the topic with experts for the last six months, the website reported.
