In Speech, Sessions Blamed Opioid Crisis On Marijuana

Attorney General Jeff Sessions draws a line from using marijuana to abusing the likes of fentanyl.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says his goal for 2018 is to see a further decline in prescriptions of opioids, and says, "we think a lot of this is starting with marijuana and other drugs."

Sessions also said of prescription opioids for treating pain:

"We're just prescribing too many. Sometimes you just need to take two Bufferin [aspirin] or something and go to bed."
