Catholic priests focus on Harry Potter instead of the serial sex abuse in the church.

According to The Friendly Atheist, Polish Catholics from the group “SMS from Heaven” burned Harry Potter books because the popular series promote magic, which the priests believe is evil.

Copies of the seven Harry Potter books are available pretty much everywhere in the world, so it is unclear what the burning of the books was meant to accomplish. What is clear is that Catholic priests are focusing on fictional books instead of addressing the true problems in the religious establishment, such as the serial sexual abuse carried out by priests.

Only two weeks ago the Polish Bishops’ Conference released information stating that since 1990, 382 priests abused 624 victims. 198 of those victims were under the age of 15.
