As reported in the Daily Beast, Vincent Vetromile is an 18-year-old man who earned the rank of Eagle Scout and attended Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York.

He also called for a revolution against “the liberal/Muslim horde,” said Barack Obama was born in Kenya, and called for the mass murder of Muslims, tweeting “KILL THEM ALL and nobody will be left to attack us.”

On Friday, Vetromile and three other men were arrested over their alleged plan to kill the residents of Islamberg, a Muslim community in New York that has been frequently targeted by right-wing internet conspiracy theories.

Vetromile, Brian Colaneri, 20, and ANdrew Crysel, 18, were charged with conspiracy and criminal possession of a weapon. The name of the fourth defendant has not been released because he is under the age of 18.

The suspects were found in possession of 23 legally obtained rifles and shotguns. They also had makeshift bombs packed with black powder and nails.

Greece, New York police chief Patrick Phelan said that the weapons were meant for the attack on the Muslim community. Police were tipped off about the plot last week when a student at Greece Odyssey Academy in Greece, New York, showed a picture of one suspect around the lunchroom while asking his classmates if he looked like a school shooter. A different student reported the incident to the police, who were then able to uncover the Islamberg plot.

Online, Vetromile posted popular right-wing talking points and conspiracy theories while expressing admiration for President Trump. He called Muslims “rapefugees” and said there was “a good reason to get rid of all Muslims.”

He also used social media to express that he wanted Muslim children to die. “Kids have been shown to be terrorists too and have killed our people,” Vetromile tweeted. “The Koran tells them to kill us so they’re all GUILTY.”

Vetromile praised Trump, even going so far as to invite him to his Eagle Scout ceremony. He tweeted when Trump failed to show up: “Dear @potus , I invited you to my Eagle Scout ceremony weeks ago, it was tonight. Wish you had come but I get you’re busy. Thanks for MAGA”.

In another tweet, Vetromile supported the idea of a border wall, saying that those who illegally immigrate should be shot.

“Anyone who’s played Minecraft knows if you want to keep out people who want to hurt you, shoot you, or blow themselves up, you build a wall and anyone who gets over/under/around the wall illegally you kill until nobody else crosses into your land,” Vetromile tweeted.

Vetromile used Twitter and Instagram to express his violent politics, using the handle “xxRebel1xx”

Vetromile captioned an Instagram of a Revolutionary War soldier holding a rifle “Looking to start a resistance faction in Rochester ny”.

In the comments section of the Instagram, he explained that he wanted to use this movement to fight “cruelties and mistreatment of the general populace by government.”

Muslims of America thanked law enforcement and students for keeping Islamberg safe.

“It is beyond tragic that our nation continues to fester with Islamophobia, hate and religious intolerance,” the statement reads. “To bring justice and properly deter similar terrorist plots against our community, we are calling for the individuals charged, as well as their accomplices, to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We will follow these proceedings closely.”
