President Trump failed to mention that he has also worked to boot Americans who need food stamps out of the program.

In Davos, President Donald Trump declared that Americans no longer needed food stamps because they are “doing so well”.

A new Trump policy has made an additional 700,000 Americans ineligible for food stamps:

"Millions and millions of people don't need food stamps anymore... They're doing really well."

His privileged ass wouldn't last one week working a full time, labor intensive work week....let alone figuring out how to take a full paycheck from that job and pay just enough towards each bill that the lights, heat and water don't get shut off....plus pay rent, phone and buy food for children. I have a 4 year college degree but still don't make enough that I'm not constantly stressed about how I'm going to afford the basics for 2 kids. I work my ass off....and I don't get food stamps only because the constant paperwork and hours spent on the phone wasn't worth the 16$ a month they said I qualified for. I work extra, go to food banks and fight through progressive MS for my 2 kids.....just to barely survive.....meanwhile, I have 44,000 in student debt and this asshat riding around acting like we can all just take a weekend away. Stfu!

So I guess the military families that use both food stamps and food banks are just SOOOOOOO well off they should be kicked off the program and just starve. And anyone in the military still votes for this idiot?

Does anybody think he could last even a week on what he could receive in food stamps if he had no income at all? Yeah. Me neither.

Trump attacks states with homeless and he created more homeless by taking away food and health care. We have to vote Trump out.

Just to point out another lie, the article says 700,000 and he says millions and millions. He is such a sad excuse for a human being in so many ways.

He doesn't have a clue what real life is like. He has started off taking money from his father, then cheated and lied his way through his life. He has stiffed everyone along the way. He is a disgraceful human being and should never have been made president. He is an embarrassment to us all.

...indeed. Social Security is my only source of income and because I retired early (due to both osteo and rheumatoid arthritis making it increasingly difficult to do the only work I have experience and background in) my benefits are pretty meagre. Half my monthly income gosto rent alone and I live in what is classified as "subsidised low income housing". MY EBT benefits ( which SNAP transitioned to after I reached age 64) barely make it past the middle of the month. The pitiful LCAs we receive don't even keep pace with inflation and last year, as well as this year coming in April, a rent increases have pretty much wiped it out (this year's will exceed what I receive from the 1.6% adjustment so now I'm falling behind).

Since my first year on SS, my SNAP/EBT benefits have been reduced by 47% while my income over the last two years only increased 4.1%, (2.8% of which was offset by last year's rental increase). Not quite a n equitable trade off there.

At our age we seniors need to be more conscious about our diet and eat as healthy and nutritiously as we can (the central tenet of the programme), but that isn't possible with dwindling benefits. Healthier natural and organic foods without all the harmful ingredients, pesticides, antibiotics and growth hormones (which I strive to purchase as much as possible) is sadly more expensive than the mainstream overprocessed and factory farmed rubbish.

The need for corporate subsidies, continuous tax cuts, and redistricting are over too.

Maybe this will convince his base he doesn't care since the welfare rolls are comprised of white people in rural red states and counties...the same people who voted for him. Oh who am I kidding, they didn't even know Obamacare and the Affordable Healthcare Act were the same...
