Republican candidate Roy Moore took issue with constitutional amendments beyond the 10th Amendment.

In an interview, Roy Moore said he would like to void any additional constitutional amendments past the 10th Amendment. What does this mean? Slavery would still be legal and African-Americans and Women couldn’t vote (just to name a few consequences of this line of thinking).

"That would eliminate many problems," Roy Moore said.

Besides the 14th and 17th Amendments, amendments adopted after the Bill of Rights include the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, the 15th Amendment which prohibited the federal and state governments from denying citizens the right to vote based on that person's "race, color, or previous condition of servitude," and the 19th Amendment, which extended the right to vote to women.
