Graham Agrees With Trump, Calls Constitutional Impeachment Process, “A Lynching”

President Trump called the impeachment inquiry a "lynching" on Tuesday morning. Sen. Lindsey Graham agrees.

Senator Lindsey Graham said on Tuesday that he agrees with President Donald Trump’s characterization of the impeachment inquiry as a “lynching,” calling the House Democrats’ work on the matter “unAmerican.”

Trump issued a tweet on Tuesday morning comparing the impeachment process to a lynching:

“When it’s about Trump, who cares about the process?” the South Carolina Republican said to reporters, “as long as you get him.”

“So yeah, this is a lynching in every sense,” Graham continued. “This is unAmerican. I’ve never seen a situation in my lifetime as a lawyer where somebody is accused of a major misconduct who cannot confront the accuser, call witnesses on their behalf, and have the discussion in the light of day so the public can judge.”

“If this continues in the House,” the Trump ally said, “it’s a complete sham.”
