He claims testing allows the government to claim coronavirus is a greater problem than in actuality.

A Republican state lawmaker in Ohio is now urging his constituents to refuse coronavirus testing, according to a Huffington Post report.

  • Representative Nino Vitale (R-OH) previously came under fire for refusing to wear a mask against Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, saying the face is in the “image and likeness of God.” He called wearing a mask a “crime against freedom and a crime against humanity.”
  • In his most recent Facebook post he wrote, “STOP GETTING TESTED” for Covid-19.
  • Vitale claimed the mass testing has given “the government an excuse to claim something is happening that is not happening at the magnitude they say it is happening.”
  • He cited the fact that the media has begun to focus on the number of cases rather than the number of deaths.

  • Coronavirus cases surpassed 3 million today in the United States. With 11.8 million confirmed cases worldwide, the United States accounts for just over 25 percent of cases.
  • Vitale said in a Facebook post last week that the only people he knew to wear masks were “those trying to get away with crime.”

I find it absolutely amazing that all these states with these out of control virus numbers are blaming the fact that the country is testing too many people. What blooming idiots! If there were no virus we could test until Trump dies and that's what would show, no virus in the country. But, now pay attention children, we are finding thousands of cases a day! How is that possible? Do you think if we stop testing the virus will somehow miraculously disappear? What have y'all been smoking? It's the dumb leading the blind scenario and all the rest of these republican sycophants just fall in line to follow their great leader right to the grave. If shutting down, wearing masks and physical distancing didn't work, why are the northeast corridor states in better shape than the rest of the country? New York was the epicenter of the virus, but we had decisive, informed leadership. We listened and did what was best for ALL of us! We did the hard work and now we are mostly out of the woods many of you are just beginning to see. But you make excuses about your freedoms and the economy. How's that working out for y'all? Freedom isn't free, especially if others suffer and die needlessly for them.
