GOP Senator Who Modeled Hunting Gear In Ad Doesn't Have A Hunting License
Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) recently shared a video of herself on social media sporting camo, an orange safety vest, and a shotgun — but a little digging by the left-leaning group American Bridge discovered the junior senator has never held a hunting license.
“I’m an outsider to Washington, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t seen how the radical Left is trying to strip away our freedoms and Constitutional rights,” Loeffler wrote alongside the video on Instagram. “Since coming to the Senate, I’ve signed on to three bills that would protect our right to keep and bear arms. I’ll ALWAYS stand strong for the 2nd Amendment.”
But the American Bridge Open Records Act request, obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, revealed that Loeffler currently has no hunting license. The group’s spokesman, Zach Hudson, told the publication that the lawmaker is “trying to portray herself as a hunter when the record shows she’s never even had a hunting license.”
Loeffler’s campaign declined comment, according to The Journal-Constitution.
