A Louisiana State Rep. has compared mask mandates to the Holocaust

Louisiana State Rep. Danny McCormick (R) has come under fire for comparing Covid-19 pandemic mask mandates to the the way Jews were treated during the Holocaust, according to The Monroe News-Star.

  • In a video criticizing the mask mandates, McCormick said:

“People who don’t wear masks will be soon painted as the enemy just as they did to Jews in Nazi Germany. Now is the time to push back before it’s too late. We can preserve America.”

  • While he believes the masks themselves are not bad, McCormick is vehemently against the mask mandates:

“Your body is your private property. If the government has the power to force you to wear a mask they can force you to stick a needle in your arm against your will. They can put a microchip in you. They can even make you take the mark. After all, it’s for the greater good.”

  • McCormick staunchly believes that the perceived attack on liberty of mask mandates is comparable to the treatment the Jews received in Nazi Germany.
  • He told the USA Today Network that the response to his video has been “tremendous,” saying:

"The liberty message is strong. It's amazing more politicians don't take on the liberty movement because it's so popular."

That mask is not a political statement - it's an IQ test. Staggering, isn't it, how many people test negative.
