Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday that facts “are in the eye of the beholder,” according to USA Today. This came after Trump made controversial comments about former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman. Newman was one of the only black aides in Trump’s administration, and Trump described her as a “dog.”

During the discussion between Cuomo and Giuliani, Cuomo pointed out that many other presidents have had to deal with condemnation, but no one fired insults like Trump does.

Giuliani retorted, “Maybe nobody has been as honest as him.”

"If fact-counting is anything, we've never had anybody with the level of mendacity that he has," Cuomo replied. "Not even close."

"It's in the eye of the beholder," Giuliani replied.

Cuomo fired back, “No, facts are not in the eye of the beholder.”

“Yes they are,” Giuliana responded. “Nowadays they are.”
