Giuliani: I Have Records That Implicate The State Dept. In Ukraine Scandal

Trump’s attorney claims to have text message evidence that implicates other officials in his efforts in Ukraine.

Rudy Giuliani claims that he has a “nice little trail” of text messages that prove that he coordinated his efforts in Ukraine with the State Department’s special envoy Kurt Volker and that he intends to protect himself in the latest development of the scandal, according to Raw Story

Giuliani denied allegations in the whistleblower complaint revealing that State Department officials had asked him to “contain the damage” he was causing to national security during his affair with the Ukrainian government.

“At no time did either one of them say they wanted to contain damage,” Giuliani said. “At no time did the State Department in communication with me every relay any of that information you’re talking about.”

“I should be as sympathetic as a whistleblower,” he continued. “I did my job and now all these people are torturing me.”

Trump’s personal attorney said he spoke to the State Department in at least 10 different occasions and that Volker coordinated his outreach to Ukrainian government officials.

The former mayor of New York City claims to have at least five text messages that show the State Department’s encouragement in his work in Ukraine. “I’m going to use them to protect myself if and when I need them,” Giuliani said.
