Dr. Nicole Saphier claimed that Obamacare disincentivized Americans from making healthy lifestyle choices.

Dr. Nicole Saphier appeared on Fox News to lament how Obamacare disincentivized Americans to pursue healthy lifestyles by telling them no matter what they do to their bodies, they will have health insurance.

"They took away the incentivizations for good behavior choices by saying that however you act, whatever you do, everything's going to be covered,” Saphier complained.

She also noted that “Americans are dying younger, from largely preventable diseases,” but Saphier’s explanation for this trend did not include any of the known factors contributing to the decline — including drug and alcohol addiction and suicide.

Seems like opinion over fact. I have not read her work. I am in the counselling profession and I do not see this.

This person needs to turn in her license and get a refund of her tuition for medical school. I thought I had heard some ignorant things, but she takes the cake!

That is one of the most stupid opinions I have ever heard. The ACA removed the financial barrier for all kinds of screenings, immunizations and well person visits that save lives. This woman is either grossly ignorant or purposely pandering to right wing fanatics.

She is pandering to Mr. Cheesehead and his minions. Best guess would be a made up position like Paula White and her freak show...

I can't with these liars. Removing preexisting conditions is killing more people. 🙄She is destructive to medicine like Jeanne Pirrio is destructive to law.

Wow where did she get her license to practice. Couldn't be school as you can't be that bright to make a statement like that. One has nothing to do with the other. I make my life choices based on what I want to do not on what health care exists or doesn't exist in the world. Just another puppet. LMAO

They needed a doctor. But before she could appear on Fox News she had to be blonde and pretty. Professional expertise obviously took a back seat.

This is one stupid bitch!!! As for being a medical doctor, that's one sick joke. Her mind is gone, and I pity any patients she might have. And, she's a part of the right-wing propaganda machine.

The lies coming from 'phox nues' is more outrageous everytime I read an article about their false propaganda.

So her basic premise seems to be that not having access to healthcare helps keep you healthier. That's quite a novel theory.
