Fox News host Harris Faulkner complained this week that federal tax dollars may be used to help house homeless people in San Francisco.

"Federal tax dollars, as in YOUR dollars, and mine, may pay to house homeless people in San Francisco hotels,” the host said, introducing a discussion on an executive order signed by President Joe Biden allowing certain types of emergency homeless housing to be eligible for reimbursement.

Citing the San Francisco Chronicle, Faulkner said the city spends between $15 million and $18 million per month to house 2,200 homeless people in hotels.

She suggested that the hotels should offer some of their own “charity” to help cover the costs.
