During "Fox & Friends" on Monday morning, the network displayed a graphic indicating Ruth Bader Ginsburg died this year.

The hosts of Fox & Friends suffered an embarrassing moment on Monday morning after a graphic depicting an obituary opener for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was errantly displayed on screen.

According to The Hill, Fox News briefly showed a photo of the 85-year-old justice with the dates “1933-2019”.

Ginsburg, who is very much alive, garnered media attention after a recent procedure to remove cancerous nodules from her lungs — an issue discovered after she sustained a fall in her office at the Court.

The Fox & Friends later apologized for the error:

“We need to apologize … A technical error in the control room triggered a graphic of RBG with a date on it,” co-host Steve Doocy said later in the program. “We don’t want to make it seem anything other than that was a mistake. That was an accident.”

“We apologize, big mistake,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt added.

Similarly, a spokesman for the network told The Hill: “This was a technical error that emanated from the graphics team."
