Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic was met with outrage after he praised President Trump's "law and order" speech.

Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic took serious heat for praising President Donald Trump’s “law and order” speech this week, prompting the musician to delete his Twitter account and set his Facebook account to private.

  • Yahoo Entertainment reports that Novoselic commented on the speech in which Trump said he would "mobilize all available federal resources, civilian, and military, to stop the rioting and looting,” before heading to a church for a photo op holding a Bible.

  • Novoselic wrote in a lengthy social media post: “Wow!!! I know many of you can’t stand him, however, Trump knocked it out of the park with this speech.”

  • He added that “the president should not be sending troops into states – and he legally might not be able to anyway – nevertheless, his tone in this speech is strong and direct.”
