The current FBI Director, Christopher Wray, has not yet read the documents submitted by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to The Hill.
During the FBI’s congressional budget request hearing on Thursday, Wray replied “I have not,” to a representative’s question on whether he had read the Mueller report, though more than three dozen FBI agents worked with Mueller’s team.
The probe, created over the course of 22 months and delivered to the Justice Department two weeks ago, examined Russian interference into the 2016 election. It has come under public scrutiny for its ability to provide further information about the involvement of President Trump’s campaign.
The report has remained confidential within the Justice Department as it is reviewed for public release.
