“Extraordinary clip Dad of sick child: "The NHS is being destroyed, and now you come here for a press opportunity." Boris Johnson: "Actually there's no press here." Dad: [Gestures to TV cameras] "Who are these people?" https://t.co/LIv4Ej2Dgm”
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited Whipps Cross Hospital in east London on Wednesday, where he was accosted by a father whose 7-day-old daughter was receiving treatment there.
Omar Salem said to Johnson, in front of media cameras, "The NHS is being destroyed, and now you come here for a press opportunity."
The prime minister denied that it was a press opportunity, to which Salem responded — as he gestured to the cameras — "Who are these people?"
In a subsequent tweet, the father said his daughter had been “neglected for hours” the previous night while “gravely ill.”

“Boris Johnson had the temerity to come to @WhippsCrossHosp for a press opportunity on the children’s ward that my 7 day old daughter is on, having been admitted to A&E yesterday gravely ill. The A&E team were great but she then went for hours on the ward without seeing a doctor.. https://t.co/onEvcZkuGm”
