Ex-CIA Chief To Trump: Mueller's Name Will Be Revered, Yours Will Be Scorned

President Trump revoked John Brennan's security clearance in August, widely viewed as retaliation for his criticism.

Former CIA Director John Brennan blasted President Donald Trump via Twitter on Tuesday, after the president again attacked special counsel Robert Mueller, writing that Mueller’s name “will be revered” in U.S. history and Trump’s “will be scorned.”

From The Hill:

Brennan added that Trump reminds him of how other "corrupt authoritarian leaders" have acted before being "deposed."

"Your feelings of inferiority, insecurity, vulnerability, and culpability are loud & clear. You remind me of how many corrupt authoritarian leaders abroad behaved before they were deposed. Bob Mueller’s name will be revered in the annals of U.S. history; your name will be scorned," he tweeted.

Brennan, a frequent critic of the president, had his security clearance revoked in August in what many perceived as a retaliatory move by Trump.

Trump had lobbed fresh criticism at Mueller and the Russia investigation on Tuesday, calling the special counsel "a conflicted prosecutor gone rogue" and the investigation a "phony witch hunt”.
