Eric Trump said “there’s a full out war on faith in this country by” Democrats, who have become the party of "atheists."

President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump, who recently had to clarify that he is not gay, said during a radio interview that his father “literally saved Christianity” while discussing the president’s accomplishments.

  • CNN K-File reporter Andrew Kaczynski shared the audio of Eric Trump speaking on North Dakota radio last week in a tweet.
  • The younger Trump listed “literally saving Christianity” among his father’s accomplishments but failed to cite a single example of how he had done so.
  • Eric Trump did say that “there’s a full out war on faith in this country by” Democrats, adding that the “Democratic Party, the far-left, has become the party of quote-unquote atheists.”
  • He insisted that Democrats “want to attack Christianity” and “close churches.”
