Well, besides stating the laughably obvious here- this view is coming from a person born into the lap of luxury that has never experienced the stress of hunger, finding shelter, affording health care, or going without in order to provide for his children. He really has no place holding such erroneous opinions of what us regular folk need to be doing to weather through these tough times and what our country can do to help us....
Even a kindergartener could grasp the outrageousness of Eric's opinion here, along with those who think similarly.
That being said, I would like to ask Eric and his buddies at the country club if they have considered this view on the subject:
Why are we, as citizens of this country, legally expected to sacrifice our lives, our body parts, our mental health, and our loved ones at the drop of a dime when our country tells us we have to?
This happens every day as our soldiers are sent to battle in wars that are funded with our blood.
Wars that happen daily (unlike this pandemic that is kind of a once in a lifetime situation we hope).
We pay with our blood and the blood of our loved ones for our country because our country promises to protect and serve us as they expect us to do.
Then as we are forced into poverty by our leaders as a safety measure resulting from the pandemic, we are looked down upon and treated as though we are a bunch of lazy and unmotivated individuals that want to steal money right out of the pockets of the entitled rich folk running the country. As though opportunities are aplenty, but we Americans are just lazy pieces of sh*t that choose handouts over quality of life.
How dare we hope to be able to pay our rent and mortgages so that we still have homes to be quarantined to as our government enforces us to stay home?
How dare we hope to be able to eat to provide the energy needed to try and find jobs from the slim pickings now available to us... or to nourish our immune systems while we battle this mysterious global illness.
Who do we peasants think we are for looking to our leaders to provide the same security back to us that we have sacrificed throughout the generations, in every generation going back to the birth of our country?
Our relationship with our government could be viewed as one of the "Narcissist" and the "Supply".
The Narcissist expects their needs to be met constantly with full devotion and commitment from the Supply.
The world revolves around the Narcissist. It's their world and we all just live in it. No one else's needs matter unless they help to supplement the Narcissist's needs.
Should the Supply have a need for survival, the Narcissist will belittle, bully, and manipulate the supply until the supply begins supplying again with no payout offered to the Supply now, nor ever.
Republicans that share Eric Trump's opinion= Narcissist
The rest of us= Supply
Can you send your private jet to pick me up and bring me to your country club so we can discuss this face to face?
I have no money to throw in towards gas or towards dinner because I am unemployed and now live below federal poverty lines like most of my fellow countrymen and women, but when I have a job to return to I'll pay you back....
Would that be okay? Let me know!
