A judge has ordered Alex Jones to undergo a sworn deposition in the lawsuit brought by Sandy Hook victims' families.

As reported by Philly.com, Infowars host Alex Jones has been ordered by a Connecticut judge to undergo a sworn deposition in the case that family members of Sandy Hook school shooting victims have brought against him.

The case began because Alex Jones called the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting a hoax on his web show. Lawsuits by the families of *"*eight victims and a first responder claim that they were subjected to harassment and death threats from Jones’ followers."

Jones defended the discussions on his show, citing his First Amendment rights. He says he believes the shooting happened.

The judge also ruled that the families can depose other defendants in the case.
