After charges alleging that Jeffrey Epstein molested countless underage girls, the billionaire pedophile stopped touting his large charitable donations. But The Daily Beast reported Tuesday that Epstein has continued his philanthropic operations through a private foundation known as “Gratitude America, Ltd."
Founded in 2012 with the intention of supporting “organizations around the world that seek to celebrate the United States of America and the American Ideals,” Gratitude America, Ltd. has backed a variety of nonprofits including those belonging to Deepak Chopra and Elton John as well as a doctor connected to President Trump.
At the time of its inception, Epstein had been out of jail for three years, but allegations against him continued to emerge, including one individual who claims that the billionaire pedophile kept him as a "sex slave" for his celebrity friends.
Epstein's private foundation does not have an online presence. The only evidence that the shadowy foundation exists are tax returns and mentions on a charity site for multiple sclerosis and a book from a Californian 2017 academic conference.
But records show that Gratitude America Ltd. funded a Manhattan all-girls school in 2016 and 2017. His donations include giving $15,000 to an elite private girls school on the Upper East Side called the Hewitt School, $30,000 to a Harlem preschool called the O'Gorman Garden, and $25,000 to a Maryland Junior Tennis Championships Center.
