> The widow of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) can never forget Trump opening his presidential campaign by insulting her husband’s Vietnam War service — and she’s not sure she’ll “ever get over it,” reported BBC.

> “But I’m the wife, that’s my prerogative — I don’t have to,” she said.

Trump belittled John McCain’s service, saying he was not a war hero because he was captured.

The family was hurt by Trump’s word, Cindy McCain said.

> “I thought it was inappropriate and wrong, I really did,” McCain said. “It hurt the family, too. He hurt the other men that served with John.”

Still, she might cast a vote for Trump in the next election.

> “I can’t answer that right now,” McCain said. “I think at this point, I’d like to see some softening of the rhetoric, I really would. It’s hurtful.”
