The Mercers and other Breitbart board members convened Thursday to discuss Steve Bannon's future with the outlet.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Robert and Rebekah Mercer, along with other board members, are meeting to discuss the removal of former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, following his ongoing feud with President Donald Trump.

[The Mercers] and other Breitbart News Network LLC board members on Thursday were debating whether to oust Mr. Bannon as chairman, with many supportive of the move, according to a person familiar with the exchanges. Among the considerations are Breitbart’s contractual relationships with other entities, including Sirius XM radio, that involve Mr. Bannon.

The White House is supportive of the move, with press secretary Sarah Sanders saying Bannon's ouster is "something they should look at and consider.” But Bannon struck a more conciliatory tone Thursday:

On two recent radio shows, Mr. Bannon expressed support for Mr. Trump. He said Thursday morning, “nothing will ever come between us and President Trump and his agenda.”
