"The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton, it would be Ivanka Trump.”

As details slowly leak from the much-anticipated book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, Newsweek reports that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump both considered a possible future run for president:

Peter Alexander, national correspondent for NBC News, tweeted this detail in a thread Wednesday afternoon, stating, "NEW: ”Jared & Ivanka had made an earnest deal between themselves: if sometime in the future the time came, she’d be the one to run for president (or the first one of them to take the shot)..."

Alexander continued: "... The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton, it would be Ivanka Trump.”

Ivanka has not confirmed nor denied the remark. When asked about her potential political ambitions in a 2016 Cosmopolitan interview, Ivanka responded, "I have learned in life to never say never! It is too limiting!”

The book, written by Michael Wolff, hit the news Wednesday morning with excerpts from former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon. President Donald Trump has since responded to reports with an official statement denouncing Bannon.
