The band, Black Sabbath, is raising money for Black Lives Matter through merchandise sales.

The metal band Black Sabbath is helping raise money for the Black Lives Matter Movement “by creating an exclusive line of merchandise with all proceeds going to the civil rights advocacy group,” reported the Hill.

  • Specifically, they are releasing a Black Lives Matter shirt, which is selling for $25 and is “designed in the classic Black Sabbath font.”
  • The description of the shirt reads: “In support of Black Lives Matter, an official t-shirt themed after Black Sabbath’s iconic Master Of Reality album cover is now available.”

This is not the first time the band has supported charitable and progressive causes.

  • For example, “members Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler have spoken out against animal abuse with PETA.”
  • Additionally, “guitarist Tony Iommi also recently raised more than 19,000 euros in an auction to support the United Kingdom's National Health Services during the coronavirus pandemic.”
