At Press Conference, Mulvaney Apparently Thinks Puerto Rico Is A Foreign Country

The White House chief of staff appeared to put Puerto Rico on par with Ukraine in terms of being a corrupt country.

White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney answered a question on Thursday surrounding his involvement in the administration's decision to withhold U.S. military aide from Ukraine earlier this year by bringing Puerto Rico into the mix.

"This is what happened in Puerto Rico when we got heat because we didn’t want to give aid to Puerto Rico because we thought they were corrupt. by the way, it turned out [Trump] was right," Mulvaney said, seemingly putting the U.S. territory on par with Ukraine.
